The original painting is currently displayed at the National Football Museum whilst a delighted Trevillion is shown holding the replica Football Walk of Fame plaque.

The FOOTBALL WALK OF FAME visited Ipswich Town Football Club on Saturday 1st April 2017 presenting a plaque in honour of one of the most remarkable football managers of all time - Sir Alf Ramsey. Photo (left): Trevillion, Andy Nelson (Sir Alf's Captain), Pat Godbold (Sir Alf's wonderful secretary) and Ray Crawford (Sir Alf's super striker) from Ramsey's 1961/62 First Division Championship winning team. One of the 25 legends inaugurated into the Football Walk of Fame at the National Football Museum in June 2016, Sir Alf Ramsey’s achievements run deeper than 'just' winning the 1966 World Cup. National Football Museum Interim Director Kevin Haygarth, said, “To do what Sir Alf Ramsey did with Ipswich, taking them from near the bottom of the then Third Division South to First Division Champions was remarkable. Then of course he went on to top that quite spectacularly in 1966.” Photo (left): The National Football Museum team and ‘Master of Movement’ Paul Trevillion presented a unique copy of the Football Walk of Fame plaque ahead of the Tractor Boys' 1-1 draw with Birmingham City. Ray Crawford: “I love this plaque because you can see the warmth in his eyes. That was him.” Continued Ray: “Alf’s achievements in football must always be remembered. He was a real gentleman, there was never any bad language, you knew where you stood with him and you wanted to do well for him. He never asked you to do something you couldn’t do and he always picked the right teams.” |

IN THE PHOTO: BRIAN FINNEY, SON OF THE GREAT SIR TOM FINNEY, HOLDS THE FOOTBALL WALK OF FAME PRESENTATION PLAQUE. One of the greatest English footballers and Preston's favourite son has been honoured with a Football Walk of Fame plaque in his home town. In 2016 Sir Tom Finney was immortalized with a bronze plaque in the Football Walk of Fame at the National Football Museum in Manchester. On 25th February 2017 during half time at the Preston North End v Brentford match, the presentation of a replica of the plaque was made to his son Brian Finney, dedicated to his father Sir Tom Finney at Preston North End, the football club where Finney played for his entire career. The plaque, created from a pen and ink portrait drawing by the 'Master of Movement' Paul Trevillion, will reside in the main reception area of the Sir Tom Finney Stand at Deepdale.

One of the great pioneers of women's football has been honoured with a special Football Walk of Fame plaque in her home town of St. Helens. Born in Gerrard's bridge in 1905 Lily Parr started her playing career in her home town of St. Helens before transferring to Preston based team Dick Kerr Ladies. In her first season in 1920 at just 14 years old, Lily Parr scored 43 goals for the team! Over her playing career she scored more than 1000 goals and was known for her having a harder shot than any male footballer.
On Sunday 29th of January 2017, members of the National Football Museum, and Paul Trevillion presented Lily Parr's family and St. Helens Rugby League Club with their own Football Walk of Fame Plaque on the St. Helens pitch.
Trevillion said " I was born in 1934 so I was used to hearing people say when they saw a young girl kick a ball, 'Who do you want to be, another Lily Parr?' It came as no surprise, when the two nephews told me that when Lily Parr was in the USA taking a penalty, the goalkeeper, a big man, laughed. The ball went into the net and the goalkeeper finished up with a broken arm. True story! They also told me that the legendary Manchester Utd manager Matt Busby said, "If they allowed women to play football, I would have selected Lily Parr for every team."

2016 'Football Walk of Fame' Honours ALAN BALL at Bloomfield Road On 26 November when Blackpool took on Newport County in EFL League 2, members of the National Football Museum team and ‘master of movement’ Paul Trevillion presented Alan Ball’s daughters Keely and Mandy Ball along with Blackpool F.C with their own Walk of Fame plaque. Artist Paul Trevillion described the opportunity to make the presentation: “It is an honour, as it was a privilege to become a great friend of Alan Ball. I met Keely when she was a little girl, and I always remember how Alan talked so fondly about his family with a very special place in his heart for his wife Lesley. It was in the tangerine shirt of Blackpool, not the blue of Everton or the red of Arsenal that Alan became a World Cup ’66 hero.” National Football Museum Director Dr Kevin Moore, speaking of the England and Blackpool great said: ‘Alan is part of an elite group of people who have won football’s greatest prize, it's natural that he should be one of the first to be presented with a place on the nationwide Football Walk of Fame.’
